ZUEZEU Keeps It Minimal and Moving on New Single WLTP
A repeated vocal hook, a stripped-back selection of sounds and a groove built for the dancefloor define the Hollywood-based producer's latest release.
Sometimes a club record doesn't need much to make its point. On WLTP, the new single from Hollywood-based DJ and producer ZUEZEU, a repeated vocal hook and a tightly controlled groove do most of the work.
Built around the phrase that gives the track its name, WLTP takes a deliberately minimal approach. Rather than filling every available space with layers of production, ZUEZEU works with a small number of carefully chosen elements, allowing the rhythm and vocal to carry the record forward.
The result is bouncy, dynamic and built for movement. That sense of restraint is also what gives the track its impact, particularly in a club setting where the groove has room to breathe and each element can hit with greater weight.
WLTP follows a productive run of releases for ZUEZEU, including the darker, peak-time energy of GO earlier this summer and the brighter dance-pop direction of WEIGHTLESS, which arrived alongside a music video filmed entirely in Hawaii.
Together, those releases demonstrated different sides of his sound. WLTP, however, strips things back to the core: a direct, functional club record designed with the dancefloor firmly in mind.
Born in Hawaii and now based in Hollywood, California, ZUEZEU has been building his profile through high-energy, crowd-focused productions since making his debut in 2020. His sound moves through the world of tech house while placing a strong emphasis on memorable hooks and physical grooves.
His career has taken him across the US, Asia and Europe, including a MainStage appearance at EDC Las Vegas and a growing run of headline performances.
In 2024, he released his debut album, More Life, adding another chapter to a catalogue that includes singles such as Girl in the Club, Love Is the Rhythm and an official remix of DNA (Loving You).
The new release also arrives as ZUEZEU prepares for an extensive run of international dates, with upcoming stops spanning North America, Europe and Asia. Cities on the schedule include San Diego, Tokyo, Seoul, New York City, Miami, Chicago, London, Sydney, Toronto, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Taipei, Shanghai, Bangkok, Mexico City, Barcelona and Paris, among others.
For now, though, WLTP keeps the focus simple. A hook that returns again and again, a groove that doesn't need overcomplicating and a production designed to do its job when the room is moving.
