Timmy Trumpet Reveals His Most Personal Side on Second Studio Album REVELATIONS
The 15-track album transforms heartbreak into a journey of healing, self-discovery and rediscovering the love of music.
Known for his explosive mainstage performances, unmistakable trumpet and larger-than-life personality, Timmy Trumpet is revealing a more vulnerable side with his second studio album, REVELATIONS. Born from the aftermath of his separation from a partner of more than a decade, the 15-track project documents a deeply personal journey through heartbreak, self-discovery and learning to love himself again. “This is not the album anyone will expect from me. This is the album I needed to make for myself,” he explains.
A pivotal moment came during studio sessions with co-producer Mike Hawkins, whose credits include global hits with David Guetta. After opening up about the pain he had been carrying, Timmy found himself asking, “Will I be alright? Am I ever going to get past this pain?” Around 30 tracks were discarded before the pair wrote “Will I Be Alright?” in just a few hours the following day. The result became one of the album’s emotional cornerstones, while lead single “Dance Till I Die” — Timmy’s personal favourite — stands as a declaration of his commitment to keep making music and sharing it with the world, whatever life brings.
Across REVELATIONS, Timmy is joined by collaborators including Winona Oak, Moa Lisa, John Martin, Bradeazy, Alle Farben, Frank Walker and Jethro. The album also features an unexpected contribution from Zedd, who stepped behind a live drum kit to record real drums for “Dancing On The Edge.” Yet beyond its list of collaborators and festival-ready moments, the record’s defining theme is the personal process behind its creation. “This album saved me. It became my therapy,” Timmy says, describing how confronting his pain helped him understand who he is, what he wants and how to move forward.
For an artist whose public identity has long been associated with high-energy performances and unrestrained celebration, REVELATIONS offers a different kind of statement: one shaped by uncertainty, reflection and the difficult work of rebuilding. “I had to learn how to love myself again, how to stand on my own two feet and how to accept that the rest of my life wasn't going to look the way I'd imagined it would on the day I said 'I do' forever,” he shares. With the album, Timmy Trumpet turns one of the most challenging chapters of his life into his most personal musical project to date.
